Part One
The Center of Our Faith

Remember your creator in the days of your youth.

—Ecclesiastes 12:1a

The children’s sermons in Part One highlight the importance of the relationship of our young with God. The purpose is to provide building blocks for young people’s faith in God needed by them along life’s journey. The opening sermons help build this relationship by focusing on praising God as the key activity of worship. The follow-up sermons invite children’s view of God as Creator, real, everywhere, and as the One who made us, loves us, and helps us even when we hurt or are in trouble. The sermons also present Jesus, who loves and welcomes children, as the Bread of Life, and calls them to come into his presence and go out to tell others about him. Sermons on the Bible as the church’s Book and its importance in living the way of God close this section.
